Las Vegas, NV - Shelley Hancock, a 38-year esthetics veteran and respected mentor in the beauty industry, has been named a quarter-finalist in the national Fab Over 40 competition. Now 65, Hancock continues to inspire estheticians nationwide with her message that confidence and purpose grow stronger with age.
Fab Over 40 offers contestants the opportunity to win $40,000, a luxury spa-cation, and a feature on the cover of NewBeauty. Voting for the next round ends December 4th at 7PM PST and benefits the National Breast Cancer Foundation, which has received more than $25 million through the competition since 2022.
“The best part of life after 40 is having a clear sense of who I am and what matters to me,” Hancock says. “Supporting estheticians in their careers is what motivates me every day.”
Hancock, widely known as the industry’s “Gadget Gal,” has spent nearly four decades educating estheticians, hosting the top-ranked radio show “Shelley’s Show & Tell,” travelling the country giving workshops, and teaching classes for esthetic schools. She has also authored several books, including her newest release, “Esthetic Success: A Seasoned Esthetician’s Journey,” which you can find on Amazon.
If selected as the winner, she plans to invest the prize into her new mentoring platform, EstheticSuccess.com, to support esthetic schools and reach more students.
