Asensio and St. Johns GOP express deeply concerns about Governor Ron DeSantis's central role in perpetuating the use of legal corruption politically against President Trump.
ST. JOHNS, FL / ACCESSWIRE / December 4, 2024 / Today, the St. Johns Republican Presidential Executive Committee (St. Johns GOP), the Republican Party's leading organization focused on uncovering and addressing systemic legal corruption, particularly the judicial corruption that has been strategically organized within the U.S. Judicial Conference under Chief Justice John Roberts, delivered a letter concerning President Donald J. Trump's consideration of Governor Ron DeSantis for a senior position within his administration. The letter was addressed and delivered to Laura Trump, Vice Chairman of the Republican National Executive Committee (RNC) and Susie Wiles, White House Chief of Staff for President Donald J. Trump, along with the leaders of the RNC.
The letter states, "we are deeply concerned about Governor Ron DeSantis' central role in perpetuating these issues. Specifically, Governor DeSantis has worked with Leonard Leo and other Republicans who have illicitly exploited the federal judiciary's power for personal and political gain. This behavior is inconsistent with the principles of the Republican Party, justice and fairness that President Trump stands for … urge you to convey to President Trump the grave risks of appointing Ron DeSantis to any position in his administration unless DeSantis acknowledges his role in enabling judicial corruption and attempting to benefit from it. Such an appointment would only embolden those who have worked against President Trump's agenda and principles."
St. Johns GOP letter adds, "we have the legal authority to obtain discovery from your close associates at the Republican National Committee (RNC), Chairman Michael Watley and General Counsel John Hammond, who recently worked with Governor DeSantis at the RNC against us. This underscores the depth of the issues at hand. Watley and others are protecting a system of legal corruption that undermines the very foundations of our party and its ability to champion the rule of law."
Governor DeSantis is presently under a discovery request to examine his role in the RNC's action against at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) against Final Order of October 8, 2024 (WIPO Order) in the case titled the Republican Party of Florida v. Manuel P. Asensio (Asensio) and St. Johns GOP [Case Number D2024-3099].
Asensio said, "The seriousness and substance of the federal judiciary policy dispute between St. Johns GOP on the one hand and Leonard Leo and the Federalist Society on the other, which are on ongoing at the RNC, are the reason that the WIPO granted St. Johns GOP unrestricted and unregulated power to use the RNC's federal trademarks. The WIPO Order explicated recognized that the problem with regulating the RNC staff's control over the RNC's policymaking should be examined."
