With experience spanning almost three decades, Ms. Cantinieri believes it is her tenacity that has pushed her forward to achieve her goals, no matter the difficulties she faced. She also attributes her success to her mother's constant and unwavering support.
Ms. Cantinieri earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Wright State University, graduating cum laude. She earned a Master of Business Administration in data analytics online in 2019 from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana, while traveling for work.
Ms. Cantinieri holds numerous certifications, including in clinical trials, SNF regulatory compliance and reimbursement. Among the many certificates she has earned, Ms. Cantinieri takes particular pride in earning a health care compliance certification, which required her to attend three days of classes and pass a difficult exam. She is also very proud to be an American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPCN) master teacher for the resident assessment coordinator certification.
Building on a Career in Nursing
As a registered nurse who specialized in long-term care, Ms. Cantinieri found her calling early in her career. "When I graduated from nursing school, I went to work in a nursing home where I did my clinicals and have essentially stayed in long-term care ever since. I enjoyed working with the residents of the nursing home. They all have such good stories. When you work in a nursing home, you take care of the same residents and get to know them really well while hearing their stories. In some cases, you end up being like their family," says Ms. Cantinieri.
Building on this foundation, Ms. Cantinieri is now an expert in clinical reimbursements for nursing homes, Medicare Part A and B, Medicaid and reimbursement compliance. At her current position, she oversees the service line for the clinical team on compliance auditing. Along with consulting, she uses quality innovations to assist clients with reimbursement and compliance. One of the recent developments in her field is the number of audits from all the Medicare contractors.
"A lot of what I am doing is either helping to prepare, make sure they have everything they need, or helping appeal if they have something that they think is appealable," Ms. Cantinieri says.
A Continued Commitment to Learning
Beyond her consulting work, Ms. Cantinieri is proud to have become a national speaker. She has delivered talks at various conferences, most recently at the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in June of 2025.
In regard to her future career plans, Ms. Cantinieri will continue to pursue additional certification in auditing and maintain all her current certifications. She is determined to dedicate herself to continuous learning, including expanding her expertise in the business sector.
