Dr. Simpson began her career as a language instructor, but soon joined CPI Corp. as a strategic business operations manager in 2000. In 2005, she went on to become a regional store leadership program manager at the Home Depot. The following year, she joined U.S. Bank as vice president and manager of national multicultural markets. She held this role until 2016, having assumed the position of vice president of strategy and insight in 2014.
Dr. Simpson's Work at Edward Jones
In 2016, Dr. Simpson transitioned to senior client experience strategist at Edward Jones, a position she held until 2022. Additionally, she worked as a department leader of recruitment strategies and financial analyst career development from 2019 to 2020, a capability strategist in 2020 and a director and capability strategist from 2020 to 2022. In 2022, she was appointed senior learning and performance consultant.
Today, Dr. Simpson operates as an independent consultant and executive coach, having recently founded Veralign Consulting Collective, leveraging her unique ability to marry strategy with human capital in what she calls "Rosetta stone." Her strength is in creating high-performing teams, capable of accomplishing any objective they set their mind to, as well as helping individuals gain clarity on their personal purpose as they work towards achieving their professional goals. She recently helped Opera Theatre of St. Louis establish its first ERGs and would like to further refine her expertise in this area.
