Xhorse3D has officially launched the Xmachine WM-100 on Kickstarter, introducing a compact desktop CNC machine capable of full simultaneous 5-axis machining. Early supporters can secure the system at a Super Early Bird price of $5,899, compared with a planned retail price of $8,399.
According to the company's founder, the idea behind the WM-100 was to make advanced CNC technology available beyond large factories.

Unlike most desktop CNC machines that operate on three axes, the WM-100 supports full simultaneous 5-axis motion, allowing the cutting tool to move and rotate across five directions at the same time. This expanded range of motion enables the machining of complex geometries, curved surfaces, and multi-sided components in a single setup, significantly reducing repositioning and improving efficiency when producing intricate parts.
Despite its compact footprint, the machine is engineered for precision manufacturing. The WM-100 offers ±0.01 mm positioning repeatability, making it suitable for applications ranging from functional prototypes to precision mechanical components.
Powering the system is a 1500W high-torque spindle capable of speeds up to 20,000 rpm, developed in-house by Xhorse3D to deliver the stability and cutting performance required for demanding materials. The machine is designed to support a wide range of commonly used engineering materials, including aluminum, brass, engineering plastics, wood, composite materials, as well as more challenging metals such as titanium and stainless steel. It also features a dual cooling system with mist and air cooling modes, quiet low-noise operation suitable for workshops, offices, or home environments, and wide voltage compatibility supporting 100-240V AC power input.
To simplify the complexity often associated with multi-axis machining, Xhorse3D has also developed XMaker, its proprietary AI-powered CAM software designed specifically for the WM-100. Beginners can generate 5-axis toolpaths from text prompts, convert images into 3D models, or directly import STL files to begin machining. More advanced users can customize tool libraries, machining strategies, entry and exit paths, and perform simulations with collision detection.
In addition to the native software ecosystem, the WM-100 is also compatible with industry-standard CAM platforms such as Autodesk Fusion 360 and Mastercam etc., allowing professional users to integrate the machine into existing machining workflows.
