Areté Health PT is pleased to announce the official opening of its newest Brunswick Physical Therapy clinic in Cary, expanding access to high-quality outpatient rehabilitation services in the area. This opening represents Brunswick Physical Therapy’s first ground-up clinic launch since partnering with Areté Health PT. Together, the two organizations continue to drive innovation in clinical quality, operational excellence, and opportunities for clinician ownership within a supportive, patient-first culture.
Along with the clinic opening, Brunswick Physical Therapy is proud to welcome Lucas Simoes, PT, DPT, MSc, who will serve as Clinic Director for the new location.
Lucas brings more than 20 years of experience in orthopedic and musculoskeletal physical therapy, with a background that spans clinical practice, advanced research, and academic instruction. His career began in Brazil in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation before he advanced his training in the United States, where he served as a Graduate Student Researcher in Pittsburgh while completing musculoskeletal specialization.
He holds certifications in manual therapy, dry needling, and orofacial pain and completed Fellowship training with the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) in 2016. Lucas has also contributed significantly to clinical education through his years teaching in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Methodist University, and he continues to mentor clinicians across the country.
“Our expansion into Cary reflects the heart of The Areté Way, creating access to care while empowering clinicians to lead,” said Eric DeYoung, Chief Executive Officer of Areté Health PT.
The newly opened Brunswick Physical Therapy Cary clinic offers comprehensive outpatient physical therapy services, including orthopedic and post-surgical care, manual therapy, dry needling, and individualized treatment programs rooted in evidence-based practice. The space was designed to provide a welcoming, patient-centered environment focused on restoring movement, improving function, and supporting long-term health.
“I am honored to join the Brunswick Physical Therapy and Areté Health PT teams,” said Lucas Simoes. “My passion is helping people return to the most important parts of their lives, and I am excited to serve the Cary community with the highest standards of care. I look forward to growing this clinic and expanding future locations throughout the Raleigh–Durham area.”
Brunswick Physical Therapy Cary is now open and accepting new patients.
