Former Havas Digital Global Chairman to support Walker Sands’ strategic growth plans
Walker Sands, an integrated B2B growth services agency, announced today that marketing executive and advisor George Gallate has joined its board of directors. Gallate’s board appointment comes on the heels of Walker Sands’ recent partnership with Mountaingate Capital in October 2025.
Gallate brings more than 40 years of experience building and leading global marketing and advertising businesses. He spent 27 years at Havas in various roles including Global CEO and Chairman of Havas Digital, guiding the company’s growth to becoming the largest digital network in the world in the 2000’s. He then led the Rimm Kaufman Group through its sale to Merkle in 2014, serving as Merkle’s Global Chief Marketing Officer post-acquisition.
Today, Gallate is the CEO of MKTG2.U, a growth consultancy, and an independent board member and investor in Tinuiti, Real Chemistry, Bounteous, Anteriad, Bond Loyalty and WebFX. His previous board appointments include Mars United Commerce. He is also the Chairperson and co-Founder of NEAR, Networks for Emergencies and Relief.
As an independent board member, Gallate has helped build category leaders across the marketing services industry for the past eight years. His blend of operator, investor, and advisor experience, combined with a proven record of scaling agency capabilities and go-to-market models, will help Walker Sands accelerate strategic acquisitions, broaden service offerings and provide deeper counsel to enterprise technology clients.
Gallate’s appointment follows Walker Sands’ recent acquisition by Mountaingate Capital to fuel the agency’s next phase of growth.
