Walnut Creek, CaliforniaCasper, Meadows, Schwartz & Cook is actively assisting individuals affected by the recent recall of over 1.8 million SharkNinja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on May 1, 2025, citing a defect that allows the pressure-cooking lid to be opened during use, leading to hot contents escaping and posing a significant burn hazard.

To date, SharkNinja has received 106 reports of burn injuries, including more than 50 cases of second- and third-degree burns to the face and body. Additionally, 26 lawsuits have been filed in connection with these incidents.

“The severity and number of injuries reported are deeply concerning,” said Adam Carlson, Managing Partner at Casper, Meadows, Schwartz & Cook, a firm that has already represented numerous victims of pressure cooker incidents. “Our firm is committed to ensuring that victims receive the justice and compensation they deserve for the harm they’ve suffered.”

About the Recall:

  • Affected Models: OP300, OP301, OP301A, OP302, OP302BRN, OP302HCN, OP302HAQ, OP302HW, OP302HB, OP3055, and OP350CO.
  • Units Recalled: Approximately 1.85 million in the U.S. and an additional 184,240 in Canada.
  • Sold At: Major retailers, including Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, Amazon, and Target, from January 2019 through March 2025.

Individuals who have suffered injuries from the recalled pressure cookers may be entitled to compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages. We encourage all affected consumers to consult with an attorney to explore their legal options.
