Residential Drug and Alcohol Treatment Expands in Chandler Amid Growing Community Need

CHANDLER, AZ - December 03, 2025 - PRESSADVANTAGE -

Crossroads is announcing the opening of its new Chandler residential treatment campus, expanding access to affordable, high-quality addiction treatment for adults throughout Chandler, the East Valley, and the greater Phoenix area. The new campus offers a safe, structured residential program alongside flexible outpatient and aftercare services, making it easier for individuals and families to find help close to home when they need it most.

In 2023, Maricopa County, which includes both Chandler and Phoenix, reported that 80 percent of those who took fentanyl illicitly tested positive for methamphetamine, a 2,024 percent increase since 2013. This dramatic rise in polysubstance use has placed added strain on hospitals, families, and community resources, and has highlighted the need for treatment that is both comprehensive and accessible. The Crossroads Chandler Campus was developed in direct response to this need, with programs designed to address complex substance use patterns while supporting long-term recovery.

Crossroads is a nonprofit organization that has served the Phoenix Valley since 1960. Rooted in a 12-step recovery community and guided by a mission to remove barriers to care, the organization is committed to ensuring that cost is never the reason someone is turned away. The Chandler Campus accepts a broad range of insurance plans, including Medicaid and commercial insurance, and offers support to individuals who are uninsured or underinsured. No one is denied services due to an inability to pay.

The centerpiece of the new campus is the Right Track Residential Program, a peer-guided, highly structured level of care for individuals who need intensive support in the early stages of recovery. Clients live on site in a supportive environment where they participate in individual and group counseling, 12-step programming, peer support, and wellness activities that build structure and accountability into daily life. A campus chapel reflects the spiritual foundation of many Crossroads programs while still welcoming clients of all beliefs and backgrounds.

Alongside residential care, the Chandler Campus offers outpatient and aftercare services for those who need flexibility while balancing work, school, or family responsibilities. Clients can live at home while attending therapy and group sessions, which allows them to immediately apply skills in real-world situations with support from their treatment team. Outpatient and aftercare programs focus on relapse prevention, life skills, emotional health, and rebuilding relationships, helping clients maintain momentum after residential treatment or begin care at a lower level of intensity.

Crossroads recognizes that substance use disorder does not look the same for everyone. At the Chandler Campus, clients receive individualized care for a wide range of substance use concerns, including alcohol, opioids such as fentanyl and heroin, methamphetamine and other stimulants, benzodiazepines, and prescription medications. While the Chandler Campus does not provide detox on site, staff work closely with trusted local partners to coordinate safe medical detox before clients enter residential or outpatient treatment. Medication-assisted treatment options, excluding methadone, are available through integrated medical services when clinically appropriate.

The Chandler Campus also reflects the heart of the broader Crossroads organization. Many staff members are in recovery themselves and began their own journeys through Crossroads programs. Peer support is woven through every level of care, reinforcing the belief that people who have walked the path of addiction and recovery bring unique insight and hope to those who are just beginning. In addition to clinical services, clients have access to case management, employment support, wellness activities, and a strong recovery community that extends far beyond discharge.

With the opening of the Chandler residential treatment campus, Crossroads is deepening its long-standing commitment to the Phoenix Valley. By combining accessible pricing, acceptance of Medicaid and commercial insurance, and a full continuum of residential and outpatient services, the organization is working to ensure that anyone seeking help for addiction can find a place to begin again.
