MBM Auto Renew announced on July 3, 2026, that it is now offering paint protection film and ceramic coating for boats and other marine vessels. The notice appeared on the company’s Facebook page and recorded a completed job on a Phoenix fishing boat that received full 3M paint protection film, ceramic coating, and a full interior detail. The post listed rocks, docks, ultraviolet exposure, and fish hooks among the conditions the shop intended that package to address on the water. The announcement adds a marine application of services the shop already listed for land vehicles. It does not replace the automotive work described on the company website.
The July post said the film on the Phoenix boat was installed by the shop’s 3M preferred installers and was backed by 3M’s 10-year warranty. That installer designation and warranty term were first stated by the company in a June 18, 2026 post about 3M paint protection film. The 10-year figure also appears on the homepage FAQ, which describes self-healing films with warranties of up to 10 years. That term is a product warranty attributed to 3M on the film, not a single guarantee covering coating, interior detail, or every service the shop performs. MBM Auto Renew states separately that all services come with a quality assurance guarantee and that specific warranty terms depend on the service provided. The website does not publish a single term length or a list of exclusions for that shop guarantee.
“The boat was a good example of how we can take the same protection products we use on vehicles and apply them to a different environment,” said Michael Beck, founder of MBM Auto Renew. “This Phoenix fishing boat received full 3M paint protection film, ceramic coating, and an interior detail. With boats, we have to consider things like docks, gear, water, and the way the vessel is used when deciding what services make sense.”
The same post named bass boats, pontoons, center consoles, yacht tenders, and jet skis as vessel types the shop said it is prepared to protect. Those types were listed as intended work, not as additional completed jobs. Only the Phoenix fishing boat was described as finished. The post also named 3M and Adam’s Polishes. The website service pages do not publish marine-specific application guides or independent laboratory studies for film or coating on gelcoat, so performance language remains the shop’s own description plus the conditions named in the July post.
The company site describes paint protection film primarily as a physical barrier against rock chips, highway gravel, bug splatter, road debris, salt damage, and minor scratches on cars, trucks, SUVs, and specialty vehicles, including popular models such as Mustangs, Broncos, and Corvettes. Full custom film work on the site typically takes two to five days. A homepage FAQ distinguishes film from ceramic coating: film provides impact protection, while coating is described as chemical and hydrophobic defense, including easier cleaning, ultraviolet resistance, and gloss. Combined use is a common sequence on vehicles and was the sequence used on the Phoenix boat, with interior detail added.
Ceramic coating claims on the shop’s ceramic page remain the company’s service descriptions. That page says professional-grade coatings can last several years, with longevity dependent on maintenance and environmental exposure, and attributes resistance to ultraviolet rays, oxidation, chemical stains, and environmental contaminants to those coatings. The July post applied those services to a boat and added rocks, docks, and fish hooks as marine wear the shop associated with that job. No independent study of marine coating performance appears on the website.
Paint correction, window tinting, and paintless dent repair remain listed automotive services and were not described as part of the Phoenix boat job. Paint correction is a clear-coat refining process that can address surface-level swirl marks, fine scratches, oxidation, water spots, light etching, and dullness. Deeper scratches that go through the clear coat may not be fully removable. Typical paint correction time is two to eight hours. Window tinting is listed for heat, glare, and ultraviolet exposure. Paintless dent repair is listed for door dings, hail, and minor contact when factory paint can be preserved.
“Good preparation is important no matter what we’re working on,” Beck said. “For this boat, the paint protection film provided a layer of protection against physical wear, while the ceramic coating added another layer of protection to the surface. The film warranty mentioned in the announcement applies to the 3M film itself, while the interior detail was a separate service.”
MBM Auto Renew was founded by Michael Beck, whose site biography lists more than 30 years in dealership reconditioning and identifies him as founder and a paintless dent repair veteran. The Fenton company describes itself as a hands-on shop rather than a volume installer, working on new vehicles and on worn paint and damaged panels. Listed automotive services include ceramic coating, paint correction, window tinting, paintless dent repair, and custom paint protection film. The July 3 post is the company’s public record that those protection steps are now also offered for boats and marine vessels, beginning with the completed Phoenix fishing boat.
