The Meadows Foundation Names Eric R. Meadows President and CEO
The Meadows Foundation Board of Directors named Eric R. Meadows as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2026. He will succeed Peter M. Miller, who will retire on December 31, 2025, following six years of transformative leadership.
President and CEO of The Meadows Foundation Set to Retire
The Meadows Foundation announced today that Peter M. Miller will retire as president and chief executive officer on December 31, 2025, after six years of dedicated service. Mr. Miller, who became president and CEO in January 2020, is the great-nephew of the Foundation's founders, Algur H. and Virginia Meadows.

Founded in Dallas in 1948 by Al and Virginia Meadows, the Foundation has made a lasting impact by funding programs that span arts and culture, civic and public affairs, education, environment, health, and human services. It has supported programs across the entire state, leaving an enduring legacy in all 254 counties. Over three-quarters of a century, the Foundation has provided $1.36 billion through more than 10,000 grants to 3,700 different organizations and groups throughout Texas.
